You have entered the ‘World of Jem’ which is dedicated to ‘Jem’ the cartoon and toy line that was produced in the mid 80’s. It is also a place to see what is happening today with Jem and what fans are up to, to keep the excitement of Jem going.

The story:

    Jem is the hottest new rock star to hit the music scene! Off stage, she’s Jerrica, the cool chief executive of Starlight Music. On stage, she’s Jem! Only Jem’s friends, the Holograms, know Jem’s true identity. And with the help of Synergy, her computer who creates holograms, Jerrica becomes Jem! Jem and the Holograms are up agaist a rivalry band of mischievous girls named ‘The Misfits’ who are also hot on the music scene and who will stop at nothing to cause trouble for Jem and the Holograms.

    Through the Cartoon series of ‘Jem’, you experience the adventures of Jem and the Holograms and The Misfits. You will feel the emotions of love n romance, triumph and set backs and most of all, enjoy the music of these amazing 80’s rock bands. As the series rolls on, new members join the bands and later in the series, a new band named ‘The Stingers’ hit town to stir up trouble in a new ray of light.

The toys:

    To coincide with the series, is the outrageous doll line created by Hasbro. The dolls are full of glamour, glitter, fashion and fame. They have amazing bright colored hair, outrageous 80’s glam make up, glittering fashions and cool transforming playsets to stage the dolls on.

    Jem fans themselves, are also involved with working on their own Jem projects and events.  Such as fan fiction, custom dolls and Jem conventions! In September 2007 a Jem convention was held in Chicago called ‘Jemcon’. And Jemcon 2008 will be held in LA
