Rachael’s interest for photography began as an extension of making short films, as she soon discovered that the passion for capturing a still moment in time became something so artistic, expressive and interesting. Rachael started learning photography through College by developing black and white film and developing photos in a dark room, learning about the set up of studio lighting, developed a fascination with low depth of field photos and the workings of a camera manually.

This lead to working at Camera House where she learnt the colour processing aspect of photography - further expanding her technical knowledge and seeing what other photographers were doing right and wrong - this showed a whole new world of photography. Printing professional’s work and a love of photograph itself inspired Rachael to work as a professional, where she started her own wedding photography business .

In time, film gave way to digital photography and it was in this environment where Rachael started her own toy design/ doll customising business. Here, photographic skills - gained from years of experience - became an essential element in promoting her work through professionally produced product photographs for her website, marketing drives, and upon customer request.
